Upcoming Meeting Schedule:

JANUARY 22nd: GROUND SCHOOL 7:30 to 9:30


MEETINGS: Group meetings have resumed per the schedule below. Our team will take every reasonable caution to prevent any potential spread of COVID-19 contamination by sanitizing our facilities and providing adequate distancing during meetings. Face masks are to be worn at your comfort/convenience or in accordance with prevailing county or state health orders. 

FLIGHT TRAINING: Explorer Scouts in flight training may continue flying at the discretion of their CFI. Scouts should exercise reasonable caution and use a sanitizing wipe (no spray) to clean contact points on the aircraft. Do not use sanitizing wipes on the GPS screen as it is a no-touch screen and sanitizing sprays/wipes will damage the screen.

Weekly on Saturday morning except for holidays or inclement weather

Ground School: 8:30-9:30 am

Post meeting: 9:45-10:00 am

Safety Meeting: 10:00-10:30 am (1st Sat of month only)

Our mission is to provide young adults an experience and exposure to career opportunities in the field of aviation and to enable these young adults to become responsible individuals by teaching positive character traits, leadership, and life skills so they are better prepared to make ethical choices and achieve their full potential. As members of Post 8, teens get opportunities to:

  • Earn an FAA Private Pilot Certificate

  • Help maintain and repair aircraft

  • Meet professionals from all facets of the aviation industry

  • Take advantage of leadership opportunities

  • Go on field trips and participate in hands-on learning activities

  • Give back to the community through volunteerism and fundraising
